Eesti Puidumüügikeskus (Estonian Timbertrade Center) is a commercial association founded by four forest associations (Ühinenud Metsaomanikud MTÜ, Sakala Metsaühistu, Erametsaühing Eesti metsaomanikud and MTÜ Saarde Erametsaühing), which goal is to form a joint sales channel of forest associations and unions in order to get the best price for timber due to bigger quantities and long-term contracts. All members of the Supervisory Board and the Management Board of Eesti Puidumüügikeskuse TÜ have at least 15 – 25-year experience of working in forest industry; and the forest associations founded by the commercial association represents 1 500 forest owners and manages 180 000 hectares of forest land.
Eesti Puidumüügikeskus sold the first load of timber on 18.02.2013, by today we sell 90 000 cubic meters of timber processed by the members of the forest association on average per month. Thanks to the achieved sales capacity and delivery safety, the saw-mill industries and paper and firewood procurers are ready to pay Eesti Puidumüügikeskus the best price so that every member of the forest association gets the best price irrespective of the quantity sold.
